School Caretaker Doncaster & Building/Premises Supervisor roles available in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Looking to start ASAP for the right candidate, longer term position.

Academics are looking for a School Caretaker in Doncaster, someone who is happy and experienced in doing Premises/Building Supervision. This role is via Academics, a recruitment agency, and is initially a temporary role to support a small centrally located primary client with supply sickness cover on a longer term basis.

The role is initially temporary, but the school is uncertain about future needs, so this could be a unique chance to network and potentially lead to a more permanent role in the future, but this is not a certainty.

The role: The School Caretaker will involve supporting school premises supervision and general handyman duties and security.

1. Key Holder: responsible for opening and closing of the school. May be required to attend the school/premises outside normal working hours.
2. Ensuring security of the site.
3. General maintenance and ground keeping.
4. Ensuring Health & Safety is kept up to date, including record keeping.
5. Responding to unscheduled tasks.
6. Working often with outside agencies and contractors is an important part of the role.
7. Working closely with the School Business Manager and other school staff.
8. Non-resident posts.
9. Education and training via the schools and an induction will be provided.

The ideal candidate:

3. Build good rapport and working relations with staff, parents, and students.
4. DBS & relevant checks and references will be needed.
5. Ideally have previous experience in a similar role within education.
