We are investing in our Planning Service and looking to expand our planning policy team. Whether you are an experienced Planning Policy Officer or just starting out on your career pathway, we may just have the ideal position for you.

With 12 miles of scenic Lancashire coastline, Fylde Borough offers an attractive mix of open countryside, small rural villages and traditional seaside towns. The borough is also home to several high value employers, so these posts will offer ample opportunity to test and challenge your planning skills.

Responsibilities

As Planning Policy Manager, you will have at least 5 years’ experience in planning policy, managing teams, attending committees and presenting evidence at examinations, that will have developed your exceptional knowledge of planning policy and guidance, along with strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

As a Planning Policy Officer, you should preferably have experience of working in planning policy. However, if you are only beginning your planning career, we will support you as you develop your knowledge and skills with the objective of becoming a chartered town planner. You should be well organised, focussed, forward thinking, analytical, a team player, and should have a flexible approach to work.
