Responsibilities

1. Complete fault finds through inspections and diagnosing any required work on the Mick George Group fleet of HGV’s.
2. Carry out services, maintenance, and repairs to the vehicles to a high standard.
3. Prepare the vehicles for MOT’s.
4. Liaise with the Commercial Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered within a timely manner.
5. Take responsibility for workload with maximum efficiency.
6. Maintain the working environment to ensure workplace safety and equipment longevity.
7. Complete all required paperwork for all work carried out on the HGV.

Required Skills & Competencies

1. Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification.
2. Full UK drivers licence.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on a varied fleet of HGV’s.
4. Ability to diagnose problems effectively and carry out necessary repairs.
5. To service vehicles in line with manufacturers recommendations to main dealer standard.
6. Fault finding using electrical diagnostic equipment.
7. Excellent communication skills.
