Job description

Will be cross-trained and work in all areas throughout the store, including cashiering/Self Check Out, online order fulfilment, food and drink production, product facing and shelf stocking.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service and address the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
  2. Support the auditing of store tags, signs, and scale prices to confirm tag/signage/price accuracy.
  3. Rotate products and remove out-of-date products.
  4. Be aware of new products and their placement.
  5. Support the highest retail standards being met.
  6. Follow all Standards Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  7. Participate in fiscal period and quarter end inventories.
  8. Communicate all pertinent information to leadership.
  9. Stay informed on all company and store level information from leadership.
  10. Complete all required training on time.
  11. Maintain a positive work environment.
  12. Use courteous and proper phone etiquette when answering the phones and pages.
  13. Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
  14. Support overall store cleanliness and maintenance. Follow established food safety, organic guidelines, and procedures.
  15. Attend all meetings as assigned by Leadership, including daily huddles.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  1. Basic computer skills.
  2. Proactive problem-solver with excellent follow-through, listening skills, and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  3. Clear and effective communication style, both written and verbal.
  4. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals in positions throughout various levels of the business.
  5. Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility.
  6. Proven experience meeting all customer service expectations and standards when interacting with customers, vendors, and fellow Team Members.
  7. Proper use of equipment, which may include but is not limited to knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, baler (must be 18 years of age or older) and all other equipment used during preparation and cleanup within department and store.
  8. Able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable adjustments.

Desired Work Experiences:

  1. Prior retail, restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  1. Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
  2. In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  3. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  4. Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  5. Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
  6. Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
  8. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
