Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team in Omagh, Northern Ireland on an exciting new Infrastructure project.

Lead the implementation of a professional, competent, and knowledge-sharing quality culture across all areas of the organisation, ensuring that best custom and practice are planned, implemented, and shared effectively. Responsibilities
  • Show strong leadership and lead by example.
  • Develop, support, and drive the quality strategy for the group and the business units.
  • Generate and sustain awareness, ownership, and healthy debate at CM, RD, and regional MD level around the business case and importance for Zero snags and Zero defects.
  • Promote quality awareness and ensure that the Quality Cycle and support tools are embedded as a constant within all of our staff and supply chain.
  • Actively partake in all start-up and close-out meetings to facilitate focused risk mitigation discussions and lessons learned respectively.
  • Champion the “snag as you go” process and facilitate the group in driving that process to be as efficient and easy as possible to deliver – Viewpoint / snagging field tool.
  • Ensure the quality management system is fit to deliver optimum value, is rolled out, and in use across all sites and relevant staff grades.
  • Convene and deliver Quality awareness workshops for new starts and new project starts.
Experience
  • Understand the build process and related functions such as programming, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Proven record in the management of projects at a senior level with at least 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical problem-solving traits.
  • Knowledge and application of legal, technical, and regulatory information to the construction process. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing at all levels.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to deliver training effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for Quality and the success of the company.
Qualifications
  • Highly experienced in Construction and Civil Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of governance processes.
  • Chartered Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (or working towards it).
  • Qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001.
Key Management Requirements
  • Ability to support/manage Quality Coaches.
  • Ability to coach/lead excellence in our teams.
  • Ability to self-manage programme deliverables.
Key IT Requirements
  • Familiar with Sisk platforms such as EcoOnline, SharePoint, PowerBI, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Strong computer literacy.
