Exciting Opportunity: Medical Secretary

Join our dedicated team at Ulster Hospital, Dundonald, East Belfast!

Brook Street (UK) Ltd is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled Band 3 Medical Secretary to support our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care.

This full-time position offers a six-month contract with the potential for growth in your administrative career.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm

Rate of Pay:
£11.67 per hour, with weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you will:

  1. Provide essential administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing waiting lists, and maintaining organised filing systems.
  2. Typing and circulation of correspondence, to include invitations, minutes, untoward incidents, etc.
  3. Note taking/record of discussion at meetings.
  4. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality regarding all information related to service users and professional staff.
  5. Efficiently manage referrals for the multi-disciplinary team using Trust systems and databases.
  6. Maintain accurate patient records, oversee stock supplies, and assist in generating required statistics.

Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  1. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  2. A minimum of one year of administrative experience.
  3. Five GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
  4. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous!
