About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a dynamic school in Hillingdon. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive difference in their learning experiences. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other staff to provide tailored support and ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for children with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), dyslexia, and other learning needs.
  • Assist in delivering differentiated lessons, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Support students with personal care, social skills, and emotional development.
  • Help students with communication, literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A passion for supporting children in their learning journey.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
