Lead Electrician
- Full training to become a 'Project Engineer' for a world leading engineering company
- £40-£41k basic, £6k car allowance / car, & bonus (£4k-£5k), company credit card, BUPA, iPhone & double pension & more
The Overview:
Are you a senior electrical professional who has maybe hit a glass ceiling? Tired of supervising a 'gang of subbies' on projects? Or just fancy a change from being 'hands-on', in a role that is the next natural step in your career?
Fancy using all that knowledge to become a full 'Project Engineer' for a world-leading electrical manufacturer, running projects in sectors like rail, healthcare, and manufacturing?
We have a track record of placing people in this company over the last 12 years all across the UK. Every single person (that's 21!) are still there, with 7 of these being promoted into more senior roles. It offers you the opportunity to be trained on unique equipment, which will undoubtedly further your career.
This is a rare opportunity, so we want someone who can grow into a project role with a view to even larger career opportunities.
With the basic salary, car allowance, and bonus, this will easily clear £50k a year for you.
The Role Itself:
This company has a team of Project Engineers across the UK and is looking for someone to run and manage another part of the projects in a different part of the business, focusing on rail. We're open to the sector you come from, as long as you have sharp electrical experience and an understanding of how projects work.
You will be trained on all their equipment, usually working with directors of client companies and looking to build relationships. The role is home-based, allowing you to plan and manage your own days, providing real autonomy while being on-site as needed.
About You:
We typically look for electrical professionals who want to develop their skillset on bigger, more complex equipment or those who have hit a 'glass ceiling' where they are.
You must be able to read electrical diagrams and have run projects in some capacity, but the equipment will be new and we want someone who is eager to learn and develop their career.
Our Client:
We have worked with major electrical players in the world over the years, and this multinational company is one of the most sought after by candidates historically. They are present in every continent except Antarctica and are growing organically in the UK, expanding by 25% in the last 4 years, providing a unique feel.
They manufacture their own electrical equipment, provided in numerous sectors globally, and train new staff around such complex equipment that will be completely new to your skill set.
