Job description

MPI requires a Maintenance Plant Operative for our client based in Cranfield

Date start: Late March
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Shift patterns: 7:00am-15:00pm, 15:00pm-23:00pm, 23:00pm-7:00am (30mins to 1 hour overlap between each shift)
Hours each week and regularity: Hours per week are likely variable depending on activities on site. Expected a minimum of 3-4 shifts a week.

Duties:
  1. To operate the pilot plant by using a control system (SCADA).
  2. Monitor the plant during operation, start up, shut down, as well as following the operating procedures.
  3. Coordinate and direct control room operations.
  4. Monitor and control process parameters.
  5. Assist Shift Team Leader with plant operation, monitoring, and first-line fault diagnosis.
  6. Assist with maintenance tasks on site.
Qualifications:
  1. Previous plant experience.
  2. Mechanical background preferred, but other engineering backgrounds too (chemical, process, electrical, automotive, aeronautic).
  3. Blue CSCS/Skill card (minimum).
  4. Gold CSCS/Skill card preferred.
  5. First aid qualified preferred.
