Job description

Educational Healthcare Assistant – EN3

Location: EN3, London
Position: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £85 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Supporting: Children with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Educational Healthcare Assistant to join a school in EN3. The successful candidate will provide essential support for students’ educational, health, medical, physical, and personal care needs, in line with their Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs). This role includes personal care such as toileting, hygiene, dressing, and feeding, as well as offering physical assistance during activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavioural interventions to support students with emotional or mental health needs
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support to individuals and small groups
  • Deliver targeted intervention programs, including self-esteem, anger management, and self-awareness
  • Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and senior leadership to implement tailored interventions
  • Support students in improving attendance, punctuality, and reintegration after absences
  • Assist students one-to-one or in groups, addressing behavioural and academic challenges
  • Maintain a calm, structured learning environment, enforcing school expectations with fairness
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
