Life on the team

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Group Information Services team at Computacenter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving team and make this role your own.

You will be part of a team of business system analysts focused on implementing new functionality, application upgrades, standardisation, and process improvements on differing technologies, working with technical teams and business teams to successfully deliver changes in a dynamic environment in line with Computacenter standards and processes.

What you'll do

  1. Work with users and key system stakeholders across Computacenter and the customer base to analyse enhancement requests, prioritise them, and work with the in-house technical teams as well as external suppliers to deliver them.
  2. Define the requirements, processes, procedures, and reporting for new modules, components, and applications to complement the existing toolset, working with a range of stakeholders across the business.
  3. Lead workshops to ensure full alignment of requirements and solutions across technical and business teams.
  4. Ensure that all such requirements are fully aligned to industry best practice and put Computacenter in a leading competitive position.
  5. Own the delivery of both enhancements and new components and systems, ensuring that the solutions have been thoroughly tested and meet the specified functional requirements.
  6. Work in geographically spread Agile teams, writing user stories, performing show & tells, functional testing, and creating documentation as needed for projects undertaken.
  7. Produce project plans, highlight reports, exceptions reports, and risk & issue logs when required.

What you'll need

  1. 7+ years working in a similar Business Analyst / Project management role, with at least the last 3 years within IT Service Management.
  2. Experience as the lead business analyst and project manager for an application development project delivered to (or within) a medium to large size company.
  3. Experience of analysing and delivering enhancement requests to a core business system deployed in a medium to large size company.
  4. Experience working with systems that support IT Service Management, e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy ITSM, HP Service Centre, with a strong preference for ServiceNow.
  5. Administration experience of a ServiceNow instance, including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items, and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.
  6. An understanding of Incident management, problem management, change management, release management, and configuration management as it relates to ITIL.
  7. Experience implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology.
  8. Experience in the Systems Development Life Cycle processing, including requirements analysis and systems design.
  9. Ability to write high-quality requirements documents, test plans, project plans, user guides, highlight reports, and release notes.
  10. Ability to guide the technical teams, at a detailed level, on the functionality that needs to be developed and any changes/corrections that need to be made during the development lifecycle.
  11. Ability to carry out hands-on application functionality testing prior to handing over for user acceptance.
  12. Ability to design business processes, perform requirements analysis, and run requirements workshops.
  13. Excellent communication skills, able to drive and influence others across the internal organisation.
  14. Ability to take ownership of both technical and business issues.
