Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Trainer to join our team in Saintfield, County Down. As a Trainer, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering high-quality training programmes to enhance the skills and knowledge of our Care Professionals and Support Team.

  1. Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programmes in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures
  2. Conduct inductions for new team members, ensuring they are fully equipped to perform their roles effectively
  3. Assess training needs and create personalised development plans for employees
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements
  5. Maintain up-to-date training records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  6. Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training solutions
  7. Create and update training materials, including presentations, handouts, and e-learning content
  8. Conduct on-the-job competency assessments to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
  9. Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate them into training programmes
  10. Provide ongoing support and mentoring to staff members to reinforce learning and development
Qualifications
  1. Level 3 qualification in Education and Learning
  2. Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in a relevant sector
  3. Proven experience in designing and delivering training programmes
  4. Strong communication and presentation skills
  5. In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
  6. Proficiency in creating and updating training materials using various formats
  7. Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies
  8. Good understanding of office software and IT systems
  9. Ability to assess training needs and develop targeted solutions
  10. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
  11. Flexibility to adapt training styles to different learning preferences
  12. Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  13. Excellent organisational and time management skills
Additional Information

This is a part-time role, working flexible days/hours Monday to Friday.

Fixed term contract 9 to 12 months.

Flexibility required to support on call on a rota basis approximately 1 weekend in 8.

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (pro rata) depending on experience and agreed working hours.
