About Us
We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives after their sight has been affected. Founded in 1915 by Sir Arthur Pearson to help the many veterans losing their sight after the First World War, we have over a century of experience providing the best care to our veterans.
Since then, we’ve provided support to tens of thousands of vision-impaired veterans, helping them to regain their independence. By providing our members with the tools and skills they need to lead a fulfilling and active life, we ensure they remain valued members of society.
We’re one transformational team that believes every vision-impaired veteran should be able to lead the life they choose.
We are now looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time, six-month fixed-term contract, working 35 hours per week.

The Role
As a Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will oversee the recruitment, training, and support of volunteers across Lancashire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man, ensuring they deliver impactful services to our members in the community.
You will work closely with the community team and Volunteer Support Lead to develop meaningful volunteer opportunities and ensure a consistent approach to volunteering that supports positive outcomes.
