Software Application Architect

Location: London – Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Candidates must hold active SC Clearance to be eligible.

A leading UK cyber security and defence consultancy is seeking an experienced Software Application Architect to join their growing team. This role involves delivering secure, scalable solutions for UK Government and Law Enforcement clients.

The Software Application Architect will play a critical role in designing and delivering end-to-end application solutions. They will work within small agile teams, ensuring that all technical solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and secure.

The role requires a strong technical background in software development, hands-on experience with a range of modern technologies, and the ability to influence technical design while collaborating with senior stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions that have a real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing innovative software solutions using modern technologies.
2. Leading technical decisions and ensuring best practices.
3. Collaborating with tech leads and architects to align solutions.
4. Managing stakeholders and clearly communicating technical concepts.

Technical Skills Required:

1. Practical knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
2. Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
3. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
4. Understanding of secure design and development.
