The main purpose of the role is to build, test and maintain the infrastructure and tools required to support development and release new software. DevOps practices aim to simplify the development process of software. Furthermore, DevOps engineers at Biotronics3D take care of the required infrastructure to support operations, including but not limited to data centers, virtual machines, monitoring, etc.

Accountabilities & Key Responsibilities for the role:

1. Always acts in accordance with Biotronics3D corporate values and internal and external rules, guidelines and processes/procedures.
2. Taking responsibility to act under due respect of Data Protection and GDPR.
3. Support the development of Biotronics3D by pro-actively suggesting improvements in his/her area of responsibility to the management.

Key Accountabilities:

1. The incumbent deploys and maintains critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture.
2. The post holder also deploys and maintains CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
3. The post holder implements automation, effective monitoring and infrastructure-as-code.
4. The post holder iterates on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments, as well as sustains and improves the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team. He/she supports and works alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies.
5. Responsible for the planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, ongoing support and/or training, in response to customer requirements. The post holder is also responsible for product activation, keeping information about hosted customers registered in the production database, managing Vigilance and Post Market Surveillance, upgrades and updates, 2nd line of support for installation, and training. The post holder is also in charge of the translation of the parts of the application that the customer needs to have translated.
6. Be responsible for monthly customer support review meetings.
7. Produce monthly customer data reports in line with all customer specific service level agreements.

Data Security:

1. Adhere to information security rules and procedures.
2. Support the ISO 27001 programme and information security compliance within the organisation.
3. Support the organisation in preserving confidentiality of assets and information.
4. Responsible for using resources and preserving availability, integrity, and confidentiality of assets.
5. Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations or breaches to IT and the Compliance team.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1. Bachelor or master’s degree in CS, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in similar roles.
3. Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale.
4. A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.).
5. Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS).
6. Version control system experience (e.g. Git).
7. Experience implementing CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI).
8. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef).
9. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation).
10. English proficiency in speaking and writing (C2).
11. Conscientious way of working.
12. High sense of responsibility.
13. Communication appropriate to the addressee and the situation.
