People Risk Advisor
Leeds/ London/ Remote 3 days a week


We are looking for someone to join our People Risk team as a People Risk Advisor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a People/HR environment where risk and control oversight is a key part of their role. This role can be based out of our Leeds or London office but we are also open to considering remote workers. This role is perfect for someone looking to work part time over 3 days a week. The People Risk Advisor supports the People team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to Risk and Governance. This involves coordinating and managing various aspects of compliance and working closely with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Risk, Company Secretarial, and Legal to uphold regulatory standards.

Your New Role:

  • Co-ordinate the completion of the annual UK/European Offices People Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) by working closely across the People team.
  • Support any other Risk activities, providing the Senior People Risk and Control Manager with regular updates.
  • Manage People GDPR activities with the support of the Senior People Risk and Control Manager, including GDPR breaches with the Data Protection Officer providing regular communications to the People team, ensuring People are compliant or have risk accepted, and GDPR projects.
  • Ongoing continuous improvement across People Risk and Control to improve our processes and controls in place.
  • Oversee Mandatory training compliance across the International division.
  • Conduct ad hoc audits as agreed with the Senior People Risk and Control Manager, including monitoring the audits completed offshore and attending the monthly Audit results forum.
  • Provide support on SM&CR activities, including the annual F&P assessments.
  • Provide regular training to the PSDG team on Regulatory activities, including updates to any processes and changes in Regulations e.g. SM&CR, GDPR.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and work with the offshore Process Leads to coach and mentor them so they build their knowledge and expertise to enable first contact resolution.
  • Be the Business Continuity (BC) People representative, holding regular meetings with the People team, managing the annual assessment, and maintaining/updating the BC plan.

About you:

  • Experience in working within Risk & Control within a regulated environment.
  • Detail and process orientated.
  • The ability to effectively assess and resolve complex issues and problems.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • A strong track record of building, maintaining, and managing strong relationships within a global business across different stakeholder groups.
  • Professional qualification would be desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of HR Systems such as Workday, People and payroll procedures and controls desirable.
