Job description

An RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital is looking for a dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its thriving, forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multi-discipline hospital in Aylesbury that is open 24/7, 365 days a year, providing a high standard of modern veterinary care.

About the Hospital:

This state-of-the-art facility is fully equipped with CT, dental x-ray, and advanced medical technology. The team consists of 28 nurses and nursing assistants, including certificate holders and specialists, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The hospital also has a dedicated night team, ensuring no night shift work for day staff.

The Role

• This is a full-time position, where you will be working 40 hours per week
• 4x 10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
• Approx. 1 in 6 weekends and bank holidays, with time off in lieu (some half shifts)
• No night shifts – a dedicated night team is in place
• Rotating duties through theatre, wards, nurse clinics, and patient admissions/discharges
• High exotic caseload, ensuring a varied and engaging work environment
