The ideal candidate will be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity with a strong ability to prioritise multiple projects and to execute deliverables with excellent communication and to a high standard. The ability to influence stakeholders will also be essential to succeed in this role.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
  2. Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  3. Leading certain month end close activities, ensuring that relevant deadlines are met.
  4. Direct responsibility for assessing and improving accounting processes and controls for a business with a high volume of transactions.
  5. Actively participating in cross functional project launches from scoping through to testing and launch. Responsibility for actively engaging with a variety of stakeholders within the business, including technology and administrative team on business integration projects.
  6. Successfully collaborate with and influence international business partners in cross-functional teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
  2. Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  3. Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  4. Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. MBA, or CPA
  2. Knowledge of Tableau
  3. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
