School Sports Coach

Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm – 5 days per week

We are working with schools across PLYMOUTH who are seeking full time Teaching Assistants with a background in Sports. Those who are keen to support with PE and Forest School would be desirable!

We work with a large trust who have multiple schools including those in Plymouth, Launceston, Liskeard and Tavistock.

It would be a great advantage to have experience with children with additional needs!

Responsibilities:

1. Guide students as a Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
3. Support within outdoor education, forest school and PE.
4. Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
5. Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements:

1. Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions.
2. Applicants holding a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
3. Demonstrated patience and empathy along with flexibility and adaptability.
