Job description

Lead Supplier Quality Engineer:

Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer experience, within an electronics, telecommunications or similar industry.
  2. Extensive experience on-boarding and managing suppliers across a global supply chain, driving continuous improvement in a volume manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong leadership, coaching, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively and proactively collaborate with suppliers and teams, across all levels of a business.
  4. Strong knowledge of SMT production lines and/or electro-mechanical assemblies.
  5. Strong Auditor experience, both internal and supplier.
  6. Skilled in applying PPAP core tools within a volume manufacturing environment, particularly FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and FAI.
  7. Ability to be flexible around international travel (10% travel expected).
  8. Full clean driving licence and own car.
  9. Quality Auditor to a recognized Quality standard, such as IRCA certified ISO9001 Lead Auditor.

Role: Lead Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £50-60K plus annual company performance bonus (typically 5-6%), pension, private healthcare, dental plan, income protection plan, free parking, great restaurant facilities, and an early finish on Fridays (Mon-Thurs 8 hours, Friday 5 hours).
