The Health & Safety Manager will ensure compliance with H&S regulations, promote a culture of safety, and support operational efficiency. This role is critical to achieving business growth while safeguarding workforce well-being, particularly within high-stakes energy industry projects such as HV transformers, BESS, and offshore wind farms.
Oversee H&S, Environmental, and Quality compliance, including audits and policy implementation.
Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure governance aligns with relevant standards.
Drive improvement initiatives in H&S, Environmental, and Quality targets.
Support training programs, competency records, and compliance with legal requirements.
Conduct site visits during high-risk activities, ensuring effective safety oversight.
Participate in safety forums and collaborate with clients on safety improvements.
Manage incident reporting, investigations, and dissemination of lessons learned.
Gather and analyze safety data, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Develop training programs and onboarding processes to strengthen safety awareness.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and ISO standards.
Experience:
5-10 years in H&S/SHEQ management within Energy, Renewables, or Power sectors.
Education:
Degree or equivalent in H&S/SHEQ or engineering discipline.
Certifications:
NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
Proven ability in stakeholder management, collaboration, and working under pressure.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
