Room Leader for 2s and Under

About Us: Little Stars is a vibrant and nurturing nursery dedicated to providing exceptional care and early education to young children. We pride ourselves on creating a fun, air-conditioned environment where both children and staff can thrive.

Position Overview: We are excited to announce a rare opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join our team, overseeing the care and development of children aged 2 and under. This full-time position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, with availability between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, all year round. The successful candidate will start in mid-March 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the room for children aged 2 and under, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
  2. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of the children.
  3. Supervise and support nursery staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
  4. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
  5. Ensure compliance with all nursery policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A minimum of 1 year of recent experience working in a nursery setting is required.
  2. An NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent is preferred. However, candidates with a Level 2 qualification and relevant experience will also be considered.
  3. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a team and create a positive learning environment.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
