This role involves undertaking a variety of carpentry repairs in occupied homes and buildings, including door fittings, kitchen installations, and tiling. Workshop Recruitment are looking for experienced carpenters to work in the Portsmouth area for one of our clients whose property portfolio includes, but not limited to, Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage Sites and Museums.
Your main duties will be to undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs and from time to time support other maintenance contracts as required when demand requires.
The key activities you will undertake in this role will be a wide variety of carpentry repairs in occupied homes, buildings, and empty properties. The work will include fitting of various types of doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, ceramic wall tiling, vinyl floor tiling, and non-licensed asbestos removal (where full training will be given).
NVQ level 2-3 in carpentry or equivalent. Trade-based experience may be considered.
2 - 5 years experience of working in Social Housing or Building Maintenance environments.
A full, clean current driving licence is needed so you can drive one of our vans.
