Estimating Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an Estimating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be at the heart of our operations providing accurate and competitive quotations for bespoke steel fabrication projects. It is a fast paced and varied role.

Duties

1. Quotations: prepare detailed cost estimates by reviewing and analysing project drawings and specifications
2. Collaboration: work closely with production and design team to ensure clear communication on project requirements and timelines
3. Client Relations: build and maintain strong client relationships, providing timely and comprehensive quotations and advice and guidance
4. Process Improvement: identify and implement ways to enhance estimation accuracy and efficiency

Experience and requirements

1. Proven track record in the steel fabrication industry
2. Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes and materials
3. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills and accuracy
4. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Packages especially Excel
5. Must have a “can do” attitude and ability to follow up quotes and build relationships with new and existing customers
6. Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues across various departments.
