Job Description

To maintain and repair the council's fleet of vehicles & plant.

Responsibilities

1. The maintenance & repair of vehicles and plant.

The Individual

1. Demonstration of an interest in vehicle maintenance.
2. 3 SQA Standard grades or equivalent at Level 3 or above.
3. Active listening and verbal skills for effective interaction with staff at all levels.
4. Flexible approach to work.
5. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
6. Self-confidence.
7. Self-motivated.
8. Flexible attitude.
9. Good interpersonal skills.
10. Logical thinking.
11. Good time keeper.
12. Tidy worker.
13. Attention to detail.
14. Ability to follow routines & instructions.
15. Be prepared to work in unclean areas of the workshop and stores facilities.
16. Flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the service as required.

Additional Information

1. Temporary - 3/4 Year Apprenticeship.
2. Closing Date: 11 April 2025.
3. Starting Salary: £17,065.88 Craft Apprentice Scale.
4. 37 Hours per week.
5. Proposed Interview Date: w/c 21/04/2025.
