Job Title: Education Service Manager (0.915 FTE - term time plus 2 weeks)

Salary: £53,706.17 (please note these are the actual earnings and is already calculated on a pro-rata basis)

Car allowance: £2,745 per annum (£3,000 pro-rata) and 45p per mile up to 10,000 miles, 25p thereafter.

Contract: Permanent, Term Time plus 2 weeks (91.5% FTE) – remote/hybrid working

Hours of work: 37 Hours

Locations/Schools: Hexagon Care Services Head office is based in Preston, Lancashire with 15 small schools in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Midlands, Southwest and the Northeast. Total of 172 students.

About the role of Education Service Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an education professional with experience of leadership or school improvement to come and join an industry leading team to oversee a cluster of established and new schools across the country. The current Education Management Team comprises of a Head and Deputy Head of Education, in addition to 2 Education Service Managers and an Education Business Manager. This vacancy is to replace one of our highly valued Education Service Managers who has chosen to take early retirement at the end of this academic year.

We are looking for a driven, hardworking, and approachable Education Service Manager who understands the challenges that this role brings but also understands the rewards that are on offer. You will be a commercial and compassionate leader who can demonstrate best practice to your Headteachers and teachers. You will provide the support they need to maintain excellent results and continually develop their schools, maintaining the highest quality of education and outcomes for our young people.

In this role you will be required to travel between schools, supporting the Headteachers and staff to allow for an effective and suitable curriculum delivery. You will be immersed in referrals to schools and have management oversight of the operational running of the school, working closely with varying head office departments to ensure smooth operational practice. Experience in a large SEMH provision is highly desirable but not essential to apply for the role.

This role is working term time, plus 10 working days (two weeks) which would be negotiated with your line manager as to when these 10 days would be worked.

As an Education Service Manager for Hexagon Care Services, you will:

• Hold QTS
• Have substantial teaching experience
• Experience of leadership or holding additional responsibilities/school improvement
• Substantial experience of working with young people who have complex SEMH needs and may have experienced trauma
• Hold a full clean driving licence.
