Opportunities have arisen for enthusiastic and energetic staff committed to delivering exceptional levels of customer service to join our dedicated team undertaking the role of Business Services Assistant in the demanding shared service environment of the Business Centre.
Based at Great Dunmow Police Station, permanent vacancies are available across the core hours of 0800 – 1700 Monday to Friday; however, there is a requirement to work some evenings and weekends on occasions. The Business Centre is a large busy department providing a wide range of shared support services to Police Officers, PCSO’s, Special Constabulary and other support staff within both the Essex Police and Kent Police forces.
Successful candidates will join our existing teams managing challenging demands and deadlines responsible for responding to high levels of telephone and email enquiries. They will be providing advice and guidance, processing actions to meet Service Level Agreements to update and administer electronic records, and providing a wide range of finance, human resources and other transactional support functions in order to deliver an effective and efficient service to operational policing and a range of other support teams.

Successful applicants for this role will be defined as an Office based Agile Worker: Office based agile working with designated team area. Works predominantly (60% or more) in one office space. The rest of the time works at home or at other police site locations.
Essex Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £24,462.00.
Kent Police and Essex Police have separate salary grading systems; therefore, the salary for this position will be dependent on which home office force you are appointed to. This will be discussed with the successful applicant before a final offer is made.
