About the Role

Academics Ltd is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Swindon. This role is perfect for Psychology graduates who are looking to gain practical experience in an educational setting. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, helping maintain a positive learning environment and supporting students. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your Psychology knowledge in real-world scenarios and gain valuable experience in the secondary education sector.

We welcome applicants with a Psychology background (or related fields like Behavioural Science or Sociology) who are passionate about education and supporting students. This role offers more than just classroom management—it could also lead to teacher training opportunities, furthering your career in education.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise students during lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
  2. Ensure students remain on task and maintain positive behaviour
  3. Assist with completing work set by the teacher
  4. Promote an engaging and respectful classroom environment
  5. Provide feedback to the class teacher on work completed
  6. Support students with individual learning needs, creating an inclusive atmosphere

Key Requirements

  1. Degree in Psychology or a related field (e.g., Behavioural Science, Sociology)
