The Opportunity

Performing analytical and physical tests and evaluating the results obtained in order to guarantee the quality of packaging materials, semi-finished products, raw materials and end products, ie all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements are met and all results are met.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

1. Collection, receipt and archiving of samples of raw materials, packaging, wage products, labels, semi-finished products, end products and water samples. Taking swab samples for monitoring and cleaning validations.
2. Performing regular maintenance and minor repairs, keeping clean and calibrating equipment, materials and spaces.
3. Perform tests on raw materials, semi-finished products and packaging materials before use in production, using a wide range of analysis equipment.
4. Performing tests on end products for the release of products for the market, using a wide range of analysis equipment.
5. Checking and checking analysis data, documents, methods and procedures.
6. Preparing analysis certificates for customers.
7. Conducting examinations as a result of Out-of-Specification results, deviations and other quality-related investigations.

1. BSc Hons in Chemistry or equivalent in scientific field
2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical GMP quality control laboratory.
3. Knowledge of chemical and physical analysis techniques; HPLC, UV-VIS, DLC, MID-IR, (auto) titration, water determination Karl Fischer, TOC, physicochemical tests as density, melting point determination, colour measurement, viscosity measurement, pH measurement.
4. Working in Word and Excel and with HPLC data system (CDS)
5. Global knowledge of production method
6. Knowledge of the applicable procedures and their application.

Due to the nature of our business, all successful candidates will be required to complete a basic DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service check) before employment can commence, and at regular intervals during employment. This check will be paid for by Dechra.
