Therapeutic

About Us: Join our team at a specialized two-bed children's home in Burton-on-Trent, offering trauma and intervention support to young individuals in need. We are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can heal, grow, and thrive.

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Children's Home Manager to lead and manage our home. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of home management experience in children's services and hold at least a Level 3 NVQ in Management. The home provides short-term, trauma-informed therapeutic intervention placements to 8 to 18-year-olds. Each child is there on a 12-week placement and there are only 2 children at one time. We are therefore seeking someone with a strong knowledge surrounding regulations and procedures, referrals, and transitions out of the home (as placements are twelve weeks, and we cater for two young people at a time, this is a key aspect of the role) and ideally someone with some knowledge/experience around AALA (although this isn't essential as we will provide training).

Benefits:

  1. A competitive salary of up to £53,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus a bonus structure with the potential to earn up to £8,500 (based on achievable KPIs)
  2. A car allowance of £3,600 per annum
  3. Full support within your role and a good work/life balance within a friendly, close-knit team
  4. A warm, family work environment and a company culture focused on fun!
  5. 33 days annual leave
  6. Fantastic opportunities for career development
  7. A day off for your birthday (in addition to your holiday entitlement)
  8. Access to a holiday home based in the Peak District where you can stay for free, on the company!
  9. Much more!

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home.
  2. Provide leadership and support to staff, ensuring high standards of care and support.
  3. Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child.
  4. Foster a positive and safe environment for children to develop and achieve their potential.
  5. Liaise with external agencies, families, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
  6. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 2 years of home management experience in children's services.
  2. At least a Level 3 NVQ in Management.
  3. Strong understanding of trauma and intervention support.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
