Are you a Locum Commercial Property Lawyer seeking a new locum assignment within Local Government?

Venn Group are working with a Local Authority based in the Midlands who are seeking a new Locum Commercial Property Lawyer to join their team and assist with a variety of ongoing major projects.

Position: Locum Commercial Property and Regeneration Lawyer

Organisation: Local Authority

Location: West Midlands

Duration: A minimum of 3 months, with likely extensions due to the nature of the work

Working Pattern: The Organisation are seeking candidates with full time availability however applicants with 4 days per week availability will also be considered

Working Arrangement: A remote working arrangement is on offer, although office attendance once a month is encouraged

Start Date: The Authority are seeking a locum to join their team as soon as possible

The successful applicant will be a Qualified Lawyer either via Solicitor, Barrister or experienced CILEX professional, with a strong understanding of commercial property matters within Local Government.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Preparing, negotiating, and advising on all aspects relating to regeneration projects and commercial property work
2. Representing the Authority’s clients and negotiating with third parties on any commercial property related matters
3. Drafting, amending, and finalising legal documents crucial to a variety of property matters
4. Working on the Councils’ ongoing property portfolio and large-scale land transactions and major redevelopment/regeneration projects
5. Working with colleagues across the Councils to deliver effective and efficient joined-up programmes, projects, policies, and initiatives
