- 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in heavy industrial.
- Professional Engineer license in VA, knowledge of site plan package development.
- Lead civil engineering teams on multi-discipline projects.
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and mentor junior engineers.

Job Description
- Experience working with regulatory authorities and having extensive knowledge of permitting requirements
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTurn, Office products (Word, Excel).
- Experience in both conceptual design and final engineering
- Participate in project meetings and act as civil team lead
- Experience working in, and sometimes leading, teams on large multi-discipline projects
- Experience with underground utility design
- Thrives in a fast-paced, schedule-driven atmosphere
- Can make and meet commitments
- Ability to perform field work and observe construction (climbing stairs and ladders, extensive walking)
- Monitor budgets and schedules
- Mentor junior engineers
- Project scoping and estimating a plus
- Material take-offs and construction estimating a plus
- Excellent people and communication skills (oral and written)
- Team player and ability to work on multiple projects
- Light travel – mostly within the state of Virginia
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years, preferably with experience in heavy industrial
- Professional Engineer, licensed in VA– other states are a plus
- Extensive knowledge of site plan package development including: grading and drainage design, storm water management, underground utilities, erosion and sediment control
