Here at The Supply Register we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join Mascalls Academy in Tonbridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment. This role involves educating students in scientific concepts, conducting laboratory experiments, and supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those in special education.

Duties

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover the curriculum
• Educate students on scientific principles through discussions and hands-on laboratory activities.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Provide mentoring and tutoring support to students who require additional assistance.
• Conduct scientific research projects with students to enhance their understanding of real-world applications.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate the needs of students with varying abilities.
• Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and practical evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or equivalent
• Teaching qualification or certification in education is essential.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning atmosphere.
• A passion for science education and a commitment to student success.
