Overhead Crane Operator

Nelson Recruitment Services is looking for an experienced Material Handler with an overhead crane license for an exciting client based in West Bromwich who will be responsible for the safe and efficient offloading of raw materials into the client's site.

Duties:

1. Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts
2. Offload, identify and safely store raw material in coil and flat sheet form
3. Take responsibility for inspecting goods for quality and quantity
4. Enter traceability data into manual and/or electronic records
5. Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
6. Be involved in continuous improvement processes and drive through improvements in all aspects of the role
7. Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: £12.00 - £15.00

Hours: Rotating Shift 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00

Ideal Candidate:

1. Must hold an overhead crane license
2. The ideal candidate must have previously worked in a factory setting for a minimum of 12 months.
3. Ideally worked in a similar position
4. Must be able to commit to rotating shifts
