Job description

We are seeking a Material Handler to join our chemical processing manufacturing site. This role involves handling raw materials, packaging, and final products while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance in a hazardous materials processing facility.


Your Time at Work
Sample and analyse raw materials, reporting results in SAP.
Inspect, offload, and document incoming raw materials and packaging deliveries using mechanical handling equipment such as counterbalance forklift.
Report discrepancies in quantity or quality to planners/managers.
Move materials on-site and operate tank farms (training provided) for distribution and offloading.
Prepare and load final products for dispatch.
Guide tanker drivers on safe working practices if required.

Relevant material handling and warehousing experience
Current counterbalance forklift truck licence
Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills
Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a high-hazard environment.


Key Information and Benefits
Attractive working hours:
Mon-Thu 7:45am-4:15pm
Fri 7:45am-1:30pm

£15.50 per hr pay rate basic
£23.25 per hr overtime

Overtime may be available but not guaranteed.
Ongoing temporary contract, long term opportunity.
Own transport may be required due to site location in North Ayrshire.
