About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, UK-based, Qualified Secondary School English Tutor to join AbiOnlineTeach. This role involves delivering structured, engaging one-to-one online lessons to students aged 14 to 16, with a primary focus on English. The successful candidate should have relevant teaching qualifications and experience working with this age group, particularly understanding the curriculum and exam requirements for GCSE-level students.

Main Duties

1. Deliver personalised, interactive, one-to-one English lessons for secondary school students aged 14 to 16, following the AbiOnlineTeach approach.
2. Tailor lessons to the unique needs and learning styles of each student.
3. Track individual student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents on their child’s development.
4. Prepare lesson materials and incorporate creative activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.
5. Collaborate with the AbiOnlineTeach team to ensure consistent high-quality lesson delivery and student engagement.

Qualifications

1. Qualified secondary school English teacher (QTS or equivalent), with experience in teaching English to students aged 14 to 16 in a one-to-one setting.
2. Strong subject knowledge in English at GCSE level.
3. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students and parents.
4. Ability to create a fun, supportive, and engaging online learning environment.
5. Experience with online teaching tools and platforms.
6. Passionate about helping students excel in their GCSE studies and building their confidence in English.
