Job description

HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a motivated and skilled Property Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Conveyancer to join our dynamic residential property team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a varied caseload of property transactions while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a diverse caseload of residential property transactions from start to finish
  2. Conduct property searches and due diligence, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
  3. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for sale, lease agreements, and related documentation
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders
  5. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the transaction process
  6. Handle registrations with the Land Registry and manage Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions
  7. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless client experience
  8. Stay updated with relevant laws and industry best practices
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Conveyancer with relevant experience
  2. Strong knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines
  5. Attention to detail and robust problem-solving capabilities
  6. Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office
  7. Membership with the Law Society or relevant professional bodies would be an advantage
