Multi Skilled Engineering Technician (Blow Moulding department)

Manchester

Permanent contract: 4 on 4 off (2 days & 2 nights, 7-7)

We’re seeking a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician to join us at our Manchester Blow Moulding facility within our Muller Milk & Ingredients business.

As a Multi Skilled Engineer you’ll provide safe front line reactive maintenance. Actively identify root cause and bring the equipment back in to service as quickly as possible as well as actively seeking and identifying cost effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities as Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician:

1. To ensure effective handover of information across shift
2. Uses PMS to support prioritisation and problem solving (RCFA)
3. To diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical / Electrical equipment
4. To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data
5. Contact OEM's and other suppliers for technical support as and when required and expedite parts when not available on site
6. Lead shift based problem solving where corrective actions aren't clear
7. Working as ONE TEAM with First Line Response Technician
8. Coaching of operators with asset care tasks
9. Identify & implement Improvements
10. Identify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendations
11. Use and support simple 5WHY OE techniques / RCA techniques through to 100 year fix
12. Use and support departmental 5s programmes for workshops and stores

What we’re looking for from a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician:

1. Recognised apprenticeship
2. Experience within maintenance
3. Manufacturing Industry Experience
4. Mechanical / Electrical Biased
5. ONC/HNC
6. IOSHH / Nebosh – Desirable
7. Electrical qualification
8. Multiskilled engineer experience

*Please note this is a 4 on 4 off Shift role Days/Nights rotating (2 Days 2 Nights)*
