We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. You will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, assisting in food preparation, and maintaining a harmonious and efficient working environment. Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
  2. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
  3. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
  4. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  5. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
  6. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces.
  8. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu changes, feedback, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
