Coulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a Welder Fabricator to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Baldock.

The company is a well-established Engineering firm who are a leader in the Food Conveying systems industry making full food cycle machinery and the steelwork it sits upon.

Principal Responsibilities for the Welder:

1. Reading engineering drawings
2. Reading, understanding, and implementing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
3. Checking dimensions and thicknesses
4. TIG or MIG Welding Stainless Steel and Mild Steel between 2mm to 20mm into a wide range of structures, producing strong, clean welds suitable for machinery to be used in the food industry
5. Reworking and/or repairing welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes
6. Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment
7. Cutting and grinding metal
8. Cleaning tools, equipment and work areas

Person Specification:

1. Fabricator welder apprenticeship or equivalent
2. Experience of TIG or MIG Welding
3. Experience of use of lifting equipment
4. Manual handling training
5. Able to read engineering drawings
6. Proactive approach to safety
7. Use of hand tools

This is a full-time permanent Welder Fabricator position, Monday to Friday, 8 am till 4:30 pm with early finishes on Friday also offering overtime, starting hourly salary up to £20ph DOE.
