Job description

Stourton Dairy, Leeds, LS10 1AX

Days based role: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours)

Are you an experienced maintenance manager ready to step into a complex and growing fast-paced environment? Are you able to galvanise the team around great maintenance activities, and effectively utilise resources to deliver improved safety, quality, and performance within a large production site? If so, Arla Foods Stourton Dairy has the perfect opportunity!

This is an exciting opportunity at our Stourton Dairy in Leeds, Arla's second-largest and most complex dairy site in the UK, producing over 700 million litres of tasty and nutritious products each year.

How you will make an impact

  • Champion health, safety, environmental regulations, deliver Maintenance Excellence with the engineering team, inspire a food safety and quality mindset at site.
  • Use CMMS system to develop, plan and implement preventative & corrective maintenance programs in line with departmental strategy, identify opportunities for process and operational improvement and efficiency gains with a Lean mindset, and implement best practices.
  • Monitor and analyse maintenance metrics and KPIs, communicate effectively to report on status of lines and equipment.
  • Lead, coach and develop a large team of engineering colleagues based on good leadership behaviours and core values.
  • Be a role model for digital transformation, work with data-driven decision-making and promote a digital mindset within the team, contributing to process confirmation to support the APS transformation.
  • Reporting into Senior Manager – M&E

Grow with Arla

  • Professional qualification across an engineering discipline (NVQ level 3/ equivalent or higher).
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with the T.P.M programme, LEAN, WCM tool, CMMS system with S.A.P PM knowledge and Office 365 skills would be highly advantageous.
  • Preferably leadership experience in a fast-paced regulated environment and bring colleagues on a positive journey.
  • You will fully understand all statutory law requirements, contractor control regulations and have strong commercial experience to effectively utilise the available budget and resources.
