Legal Counsel - Commercial Projects Lawyer - Industrial Manufacturing Business
  • Wide-ranging role relating to key energy infrastructure

Job Description

Responsibilities with this role include:

  1. Provision of timely and high-quality legal advice to internal departments on various legal issues including but not limited to Supply, Procurement and Purchase of materials.
  2. Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of Commercial Contracts and Projects and Construction Agreements (some NEC form but mainly bespoke) as well as non-disclosure agreements, contracts with suppliers, contracts with clients, nomination agreements, investment agreements, finance agreements, agency agreements, distribution agreements, logistics agreements, consignment stock agreements, property agreements.
  3. Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs.
  4. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a lawyer, qualified in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction.

They are likely to have 1-7 years PQE (based on Team Structure and the work on offer for this role).

They will have trained and practiced at a law firm which is ranked for its commercial projects work or have worked in-house within heavy industry or industrial manufacturing within a respected in-house legal team.

Desirable:
Experience working in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry.
Expertise in or exposure to NEC contracting and Engineering Contracts (EP / O&M).
