Health, Safety & Environment Manager

For the successful Health, Safety & Environment Manager, our client is offering:

1. Starting salary of up to £60,000 per annum
2. Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
3. Permanent position
4. Company Car / Car Allowance
5. Up to 15% bonus - paid annually

The Role - Health, Safety & Environment Manager:

1. Support the risk assessment and safe systems of work
2. Maintain permits required by the site
3. Carry out audits of statutory requirements
4. Support managers in accident and near-miss investigations
5. Grow the capability of colleagues throughout the business in their specific Health Safety & Environment roles
6. Actively develop, promote, and improve the health and safety culture throughout the site
7. Liaise with external authorities (HSE/EA), insurers and suppliers as necessary
8. Drive and facilitate cross-functional health and safety meetings as required to support colleagues in implementing performance improvements
9. Develop and implement HSE plans to support the strategy and improve standards in health, safety, Environment, and Occupational Health
10. Support the creation and development of H&S/E projects and improvement plans.
11. Own through review and implementation the TACCP and BCP agenda for the local site, with a view of the network operation
12. Monitor, analyze and report on accident statistics, KPI's and develop and drive improvements

What our client is looking for in a Health, Safety & Environment Manager:

1. Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent with HS&E Management experience - ESSENTIAL
2. Member of IOSH - ESSENTIAL
3. An environmental qualification such as AIEMA - ESSENTIAL
4. H&S auditing/training qualification - ESSENTIAL
5. Ability to provide practical risk control solutions
6. Ability to lead, motivate, and influence a team across all functions
