Position: Fire Alarm Engineer

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum Plus Vehicle & Overtime Rates

Location: London & Kent

Our client is a multi-division contractor. Their services include passive and active fire protection, drainage, electrical testing and installations, security systems, facilities management, pest control, refurbishments and upgrades. Their clients are in both public and private sectors – from social housing providers, NHS trusts, local authorities and emergency services to private landlords, retail operators, schools, colleges and museums.

Fire Division

Their Fire division is currently experiencing rapid growth, and the business will grow at least three-fold this year. To support this growth and future ambitions, they are currently looking for an experienced fire professional who can lead the division through its next growth stages. They are committed to delivering the highest levels of service, which is evidenced via their accreditations including BAFE, FPA, FDS, ISO9001/14001, ASFP, NICEIC and Constructionline.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Installation and maintenance of fire safety and protection systems on sites
  2. Undertake remedial works and fault finding
  3. Safety Compliance
  4. Collaborate with the project team, including engineers, project managers and subcontractors
  5. Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation
  6. Interacting with clients
  7. Compliance with relevant fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards

Essential Criteria

  1. Proven background in the Installation and/or maintenance of fire safety and protection systems
  2. Relevant technical qualifications related to fire safety systems or engineering
  3. Knowledge of electronic security systems would be beneficial
  4. Strict adherence to health and safety regulations
  5. Effective communication and people skills
  6. Ability to work both as a member of a team and under your own supervision
  7. Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities
  8. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  9. Passionate about delivering an excellent product and service
  10. Valid Full UK driver’s licence
