About the Role

We are currently seeking a QA Manager to lead product safety and quality standards across operations. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry regulations, maintaining client requirements, and fostering continuous improvement. The QA Manager will oversee audits, manage the quality team, and drive efficiency in quality-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Health & Safety:
  • Ensure a safe working environment in line with H&S legislation.
  • Support accident investigations and report any safety incidents.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain product safety & quality standards.
    • Embed & improve on product safety & quality culture.
    • Point of contact for product safety & quality monitoring (KPI's).
    • Ensure any client requirements above standard protocol are understood, agreed & implemented.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure THG systems are optimal (e.g., FIFO, traceability).
    • Build systems & processes to reduce the cost of poor quality.
    • Management of product safety & quality processes.
    • Support with Pest Management.
    • Liaise with key Senior Leadership Team.
    • Be a part of the site HACCP teams & studies.
    • Encourage team members to realise their full potential.
    • Provide feedback where applicable.
    • Lead by example - be a role model for the THG behaviours and values (9 direct reports).
    • Communicate effectively with Site Stakeholders.
    • Lead and motivate Manufacturing to create a high-performance culture where improvements and suggestions are embraced.
  • Delivery & Continuous Improvement:
    • Maintain and exceed current quality standards to support the Nutrition division.
    • Manage cost reduction initiatives related to quality and technical aspects.
    • Work on reducing variation and improving process efficiency.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in a QA leadership role within Manufacturing/Food Production.
    • Strong understanding of BRCGS, HACCP, and food safety standards.
    • Proven ability to manage audits & quality compliance processes.
    • A proactive, organized, and methodical approach.
    • Passion for continuous improvement & cost reduction initiatives.
    • Ability to engage and influence at all levels.
