Building Regulations Principal Designer - Building Control Officer
Oxford or Cambridge (Hybrid Working) | £55,000 - £75,000 DOE |
Our client is looking for experienced Building Control Officers to join our growing team as Building Regulations Principal Designers. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, with excellent career progression and training opportunities.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, initially focusing on Non-High-Risk Buildings (NHRBs), with potential involvement in High-Risk Buildings (HRBs) as our expertise develops. Working alongside our Building Surveying, Project Management, and Architectural teams, your responsibilities will include:
Projects you'll be working on include office fit-outs for NatWest, school refurbishments and new builds for the Department for Education, prison projects for the Ministry of Justice, and nuclear fusion buildings for UK Atomic Energy Authority - a diverse mix of small to large-scale developments.
We are looking for professionals with:
Competitive Salary: £55,000 for Class 2 (3-5 years' experience), rising to £65,000 - £75,000 at Associate Director level
Hybrid Working: Typically 1-2 days in the office, remainder remote
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 10 extra days
Pension: Double-matched up to 10% contribution (e.g. you put in 8%, we add 8%)
Training & Development: Support for additional qualifications in fire safety, decarbonisation, and other specialisms
