Job description

We are a pre-launch technology start-up which has recently completed a prototype of our AI-powered, data-driven opportunity network that will match and guide businesses to critical growth partners. We are currently raising £2M in equity finance for the launch of our pilot in four key markets across intersecting industries, with 50K onboarded businesses.

About the Job

We are seeking a talented and entrepreneurial COO and co-founder to join our management team. Partner with a team of accomplished and committed founders (all have invested funds and leveraged personal resources), to build an exciting business with unicorn aspirations.

The COO will be responsible to build our operations from the ground up and will have the expertise to design and build solid foundations as we launch into four markets in our first year (UK, India, China, and the United States) and eventually into 40+ countries over five years. This will include building sales and service centres, and creating partnerships with major businesses, finance organizations, and governments across the globe. Given the considerable management challenge to realize this rollout, the candidate must have a demonstrable record of success as a senior executive and COO, with hands-on general management leadership experience and significant international experience and exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Report to and work closely with the CEO with global responsibility for overall leadership of every aspect of the company's operations. The COO will play a critical role in helping to shape and guide the future growth and development of the organization.

Responsibilities also include recruiting and managing operations, sales, and marketing personnel in circa 40+ countries and a leadership role in designing, building, implementing, and overseeing all of the company’s systems, processes, workflows, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • COO or equivalent in a successful international company with hands-on experience in the launch and/or management of multi-country operations
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with an established reputation for developing a team environment with strong performance results
  • Experience with sourcing and managing global call centers and building sales teams
  • Success in building great management teams and infrastructure in a rapidly expanding business
  • Ability to assess business objectives, diagnose problems and understand high priority issues
  • Well-presented with outstanding communication skills
  • Leadership role in start-up or early-stage company or a background operating in an entrepreneurial environment, including involvement in key decision-making and strategic direction preferred

Compensation:

Seniority level: Executive

Employment type: Full-time

Job function: Management and Manufacturing

Industries: Technology, Information and Internet
