Job summary
An established industry player is seeking an experienced Semi Skilled Joiner for an ongoing contract with potential for permanent placement. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and cutting timber, erecting timber walls, and performing various joinery tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of semi-skilled joinery experience and preferably hold an NVQ qualification in Joinery or Carpentry. Experienced Semi Skilled Joiner Urgently Required!
The main duties will be:
- Measuring and cutting timber
- Using various joinery tools
- Reading joinery construction drawings
- Erecting timber walls
- Marking up timber walls
- Plaster Boarding
- Keeping workplace hazard free
- 1st joinery duties
- Semi Skilled Joinery practices
- Sheeting
- Basic Floor Laying and Roofing
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 1 year semi-skilled joinery experience
- Ideally NVQ level 1 or 2 in Joinery and Carpentry
- Strong Attention to Detail
- The ability to work under pressure
- Can work as part of a team
- Can work if needed alone and unsupervised
- Ideally Modular Construction Experience
- Punctual, Reliable and a Hard Worker
