Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer – Intruder & CCTV (Access, Lighting, and Fire Knowledge Desirable)
Location: Northamptonshire and Surrounding Counties
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
On-Call: 1 week in 6 – £275 for the week (average 2 callouts)
Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 (with 30-minute lunch break)

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and ideally have experience or a willingness to work with access control, lighting, and fire safety systems. This role is focused on both domestic and commercial properties within Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties. As part of our small, dedicated team, you’ll work primarily on-site, ensuring high standards of service and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, service, and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV systems, and additional systems such as access control, lighting, and fire safety.
2. Work on both domestic and commercial sites.
3. Provide high-quality customer service and technical support.
4. Complete service reports, site documentation, and compliance checks as required.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

1. Proven experience in intruder alarm and CCTV system installation and maintenance (essential).
2. Knowledge or experience with access control, lighting, and fire systems (desirable).
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Full UK driving license.
6. Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

On-Call Details:
On-call 1 week in 6. Callouts are typically 2 per week, and you will receive £275 for the week you are on call.

Additional Information:
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break). Engineers are expected to be on-site by 08:00-08:30 depending on the location of the job. We don’t pay for door-to-door travel time, but engineers are usually home by 17:30, unless otherwise specified. Our coverage area is limited to Northamptonshire and surrounding counties, and we’re specifically looking for engineers based within a 30-mile radius of NN15.
