Full Job Description

As an industry leader in the corporate events space, Athena Events stands out from the crowd. We have developed an extensive portfolio of clients over the last 20 years, with events ranging from award dinners, shows, live music, conferences, Christmas parties and a range of social events – no two days are the same!

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with creating lighting effects to change the mood of the set by operating lighting boards. Familiar with Avolites Arena lighting desk.
  2. Communicate with the performers and clients to understand their artistic vision and contribute your own creative ideas.
  3. Sound: Design, set up and test audio equipment including microphones and the speaker system – e.g. lapels, headsets, handheld and wired. Set up DJs and bands as required.
  4. Assist with artist liaison & stage management. Familiar with Soundcraft digital sound desk.
  5. Projection: Familiar with Resolume and Black Magic software. Running 5 projectors with Christie Projectors.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Experience of producing different types of events.
  2. Knowledge of the live event design and production process and audio-visual techniques.
  3. Knowledge of event infrastructure and installations including power distribution, lighting, staging etc.
  4. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  5. High level of customer service skills.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join our technical events team. Working closely with the operations department you will provide assistance with your extensive knowledge of AV systems and how to maximise its impact. Helping to plan and execute the highest quality events possible for our clients, you will support the overall growth.
